Programming is one of my most enjoyable hobbies. Wether creating apps, simulations, or advanced calculators, programming gives me a way to express my creativity. Programming challenges are a great way for me to show and improve these skills.
Every year, GASTC (Georgia Student Technology Competition) holds a programming challenge for Georgia's students. However, before a student can attend this competition, they must rank first at both the county and regional levels. Once this is achieved, the challenge begins.
The programming challenge consists of four prompts. The student to complete the most challenges accurately wins. In general, the challenges consist of testing knowledge of mathematics and computer algorithms.
I was honored to be a winner of the 2020 programming challenge for 9th and 10th grade. It was a lot of fun, and I am proud to live in a state with such great opportunities.
